The Kilcar way walk is in fact a trinity of equally beautiful walks starting in Kilcar village. One loops around the westrn foothills of Mulanaff the second runs east and northeast to Kilcar Forest and the third skirts Tawny. The picturesque village of Kilcar is 13 km west of Killybegs and is a centre of the Donegal handwoven tween industry. Hand embroidery knitting and othe rcottage industries also flourish in this district.
