Description :
The National Watersports Centre was established by order of the Minister James McDaid in July 1999 and situated at the Erne Enterprise Headquarters at Lakeside Centre, Ballyshannon. The addition of new facilities and equipment for the Lakeside Centre was completed in February 2000. The NWC is designed to provide a comprehensive range of resources to facilitate all water sports activities both National and International. The Centre provides training and certification to National and Internatinal standards. The training is located within easy access of a variety of sea conditions and to the modern 25-metre pool at Ballyshannon Leisure Centre.
Courses include: Water Safety Lifesaving Instructors Course, Assistant Swimming Teachers Course, Pool Lifeguard Award, Beach Lifeguard Award.
