Description :

The museum was housed in what was once the Wardens house of Letterkennys workhouse, built in 1843.
The museum now contains two galleries, a workshop, a storage area and offices. Donegal County Museum has two exhibition galleries. Temporary exhibitions are held all year round in the ground floor gallery. The first floor gallery contains a permanent exhibition which tells the story of Co.Donegal from the mesolithic to the medeival and of the people places and events from the penal times, through the famine and the land war to world war one and the emergency.
