The point of land that stretches out into the Atlantic between the bays of Sheephaven and Mulroy is known as the Rosguill Peninsula and offers some of the most scenic views in Ireland. Your route onto and around the Rosguill Peninsula is known as the Atlantic Drive: a short but spectaculr road that starts in the small but beautiful village of Downings. Followthe signs for the Atlantic Drive t some 14kms long it is a short but spectacular road around the Rosguill Headland. The road elevation along the route allows for unrestricted views out over the Atlantic from Tory Island in the west across to Fanad Head.
