Malin Head is Irelands most northerly point marked by a signal tower which dates from the early 19th century. Irelands most northerly island Inishtrahull just off the Innishowen peninsula is now deserted. The nearby Wee House of Malin, set in a cliff, was once a hermits cell and is said to have been the home of St Muirdealach, seven miles away is Malin town a pretty settlement built around an attractive green.
